wow thanks guys
this is one i entered for one of my camera club comps
i got 15/20 for it
judge wasn't keen on it cos there was no catch lights in his in eyes ..hey~ho

I think that shot is excellent.  Obviously i'm no expert, but in my opinion catchlights in his syes would have detracted from the darkness of the shot.

I'd be interested to know how you got this shot, and the PP work on it afterwards (just if you had time)

this shot was taken on a bus
on the left hand was the headrest of the seat  down the side of his face
converted it to mono
darkened the shot by adjusting the brightness & freehand painted it black
then bumped up the contrast
added border & frame
i agree about the catch lights it would have ruined it imo
this shot was taken with my olympus sp510uz
