I thought it might be helpful if we listed what packages we've got so that everyone knows what we have available and when anyone asks a question they could state the program/s they have available to work on, so that replies can be fitted to individual needs.

I am running Photoshop CS2, Photoshop Elements 4, Coral Paint Shop Pro X and Coral Paint Shop Pro Photo XI (I also have PSP7, but it's been a long time since I last used it). I mix and match between them but PSPX is my main tool as it loads quickly and has most of the tools I need for much of the work I do. I save virtually everything in PSD format so that all the programs can talk to each other. I seldom, for example, use PSPIMAGE as it is a format exclusive to Coral and, in my personal opinion, useless other than if you want to save vector information in PSP, in which case you have no choice.

I have JASC Paintshop Pro 8 (pre-Corel). I have access to Photoshop 7 at work. I can also get CS2 at work, but haven't installed it or tried it yet.

I'm running Olympus Master v1.42 for RAW conversion from the E-500.

CS2 and pspX

Trying Capture NX trial at the minute along with Lightroom but not overhappy with either - but that might be me not understanding some of how they work and the trial is nearly over ...... not to sure I will be forking out the cash for either, seeing as cs2 does all I need with RAW

Just got hold of "trial" version of CS3 - loaded it and it runs like a snail compared to CS2 - bridge 3 looks ok (slow though), but only looked at around midnight last night, after I had loaded it - so need to play some more

Is that loading up or generally?

Can't really comment about CS2 as never used it but CS3 to me seems fine.

Wander if it's because it's a trial version?

It seems ok now - when I tried it, it was just after loading it up and I think the memory cache had not been cleared.

The jury is still about re CS2 v CS3, for me
