Which is your favourite Photography Magazine and why?
For me it's Photographer Monthly purely because alot of the features appeal to me. I have to admit to been a fan of the Amateur Photographer magazine as well but i feel they have gone to commercial and the magazine is filled with far to many adverts and for sales. (maybe they should change it to a monthly magazine instead of weekly so they have time for more content).

Photography monthly for me...always a good read..
i buy Practical Photography every month too, until this month i was not too sure why to be honest but this months is a good un...
i used to buy photography monthly and practical photography, but after a while decided to continue only with pm, because they had the best features and photoshop tips.
Still like the mag, better then the dutch magazines.
Just been looking around the camera mags in my local WHSmiths and saw a familar face in the shape of Daniel Lezano (former editor of photographer Monthly for those who don't know him).
He's now the editor of Digital SLR Photography, and i must say its a good read (will especially appeal to the new SLR owner).
Not sure if this is a new mag as its only issue 1 so i think so but looks like its got potential to be a good mag in the future. _________________

Just been to collect January's issue of the mag. Don't know if its just because the mag is starting out, but i find the problem with a lot of camera magazines is they don't provide enough basic information on photography and the terminology for beginners, which is what a lot of newbie photographers need and look for. Digital SLR photography is covering all the basics in a Beginners Guide covering something different each month. (i think all magazines should repeat this process every 6 months or so).
Most of the established one's seem to think that all photographers know the basics and this is not true, what they have to remember is, more and more people are getting into photography and as well as catering for the experienced photographers they still have to cater for the beginners.
It also as some great Photoshop tips as well as all the normal photography magazine stuff, Like interviews, kit tests and the Your pictures reviewed section and lets not forget the adverts in the back Lol.
Looks like Daniel Lezano is on a winner with this one IMO. _________________
Photographer monthly for me, simply because it has the best mix of features, tuition, readers galleries and reviews and there are not too many ads.
Most of the others seem to concentrate on Photoshop instruction, which is fine if that's what you want. _________________ Live life to the full - your a long time dead.
