Thanks Degsy. I found the action shot taking to be pretty predictable - being a boarder too, I knew roughly where the move was going to happen, and where to have my camera pointing, and at what focal length.... One or two of the pro 'togs out there suffered and were whining about the speed of the riders
I guess helping Melissa with dance photography helps too, with tracking through the view finder etc.
For the record (and just from comments from friends etc), the first picture is NOT photochopped at all. The white is pure sky.... he was overhead at the time of the shot, that I filled with flash. _________________ Bring on the snow, for I feel the need to ride.....
being able to get where you need to be is always a massive help, and as you have rightly pointed out, you can't buy knowledge on your subject matter
I particularly like #3 just for the expressions on the faces of the spectators, but truth be told I love 'em all _________________ There is nothing in life that cannot be improved with either monkeys, pirates or ninjas NPU Member
Just out of curiosity, what kind of kit were you using?
Thanks people!
I was using a Canon 10D with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens.
Jon - knowing where to stand / having a feeling about the move thats going to be pulled is invaluable for sure! _________________ Bring on the snow, for I feel the need to ride.....
