It can be quite expensive if you are taking a family but a great chance to take close ups of birds and there should still be quite a lot of whooper swans around at some of the centres. Usually with a great café and some have heated hides!!
On Friday 2 February, the 10th annual World Wetlands Day will be celebrated by wetland conservation organisations and communities across the globe. Leading UK wetland charity, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) will mark the occasion with FREE entry to all its centres.
The WWT Nikon Photography competition 2007 is giving you the chance to win some great Nikon prizes including a Nikon D40 SLR and 18-55mm lens as well as a 70-300mm VR telephoto lens worth £850.
They are after images taken at one of 9 WWT reserves around the UK in the last 5 years, as long as they comply with the competition rules. Download an entry form from www.wwt.org.uk or pick up a form from one of the centres.
And with the World Wetlands Day on the 2nd of Feb you can get into any of the reserves for FREE! so take advantage and bag yourself a camera.
