I have a shoot with a family of four in two hours. I'm so nervous, I feel sick. Not only have I never directed a group before, but the theme is rather ambitious- Family Car Trip. Half the shoot will be here, half on location.
I don't feel ready, but they are coming at 9:30, regardless.
Aaaaack!

Thanks! Back from the shoot now. It wasn't as terrible as I was afraid it would be (most things aren't, though, in the end). The models had a good time, the lighting was ok, I think (well- we'll see when I review the images), and I think I appeared more confident and organized than I really was, which is a good thing. I'm just really proud of myself for doing something so scary, and giving it my best. I actually ran out of space on my 4G memory card, which has never happened! I'll post some of the results later.
