It was yes!!! great day for it!!! we have our work xmas party the night before so i booked the day off on the Wednesday, i was VERY hungover, but still managed to get out for half an hour to take these shots! couldn't miss a frost like that!

...

i took this one as well...

loved the way the light created this gold colour on the drops but the backgroud was too close to the web so it looks a bit messy..shame really!

Great minds, eh? Heh heh. This was my effort at a close up of a frozen water drop, your rose hips shot is absolutely stunning.

cheers creators...it was a good morning for it..!!!

you are the photoshop expert! how easy would it be to clean up the background on my second shot of the spiders web? would it be possible to get it to look natural or will be be obvious that its been played with? any tips would be appreciated!

cheers

Hi Adam, and thanks for the compliment, I think I'd call myself a practiced amateur. Because of the fine nature of your picture I don't think it would be possible to cut out the background, but if you use 'screen' blend in the layers palette it will blend in anything that is black with a background image. Fortunately there's a lot of black in your image so it blends well. I've blended it with one of my frosty day pictures to get out of focus highlights behind yours. I played with the levels on the background image, darkening the grey scale.

nice!

it certainly looks better, more natural than the original shot somehow!!!...thanks for that...
clever man!
