Carl - nice images again - looking forward to seeing lots more.

Hoping to get a few myself down at Conwy RSPB

And very nice too.
Venom

Love the second one Carl, what a great colour the little fellow is.
Now this maybe a really stupid question but I'll ask it anyway Embarassed

What is there a best time and place to see a Dragon fly?
carlj

Mike, 4 hours south, and now.

Alternatively, knowing where we both are (relatively), small ponds may now have broad bodied chasers. Hawkers with the exception of the Hairy dragonfly are yet to emerge, but the hairy is further south at the moment. Next two weeks should see large scale emergences.

For damsels, this fellow is starting to show now, but not got a shot this year!

Banded Demoiselle - Calopteryx splendens - an absolute beauty!

haven't seen any at Conwy reserve yet

Well, if you ever better that Banded Demoiselle I'll probably wet myself (uh, you probably didn't want to know that). Laughing

Very nice Sympetrum striolatum Dave - as the days go longer, these do get a little lazier and easier to approach. Most like to laze on man made paths so keep your eyes down!
