Amber and I will be off to RSPB Conwy and Llanfairfechan with the local group. I know this is Dave's neck of the woods, and look forward to meeting him.
Anyone else able to get there, feel free to say hi, buy us a coffee, etc....
Oh, and could all Canons be kept in a brown paper bag

Think the cafe at Conwy opens at 10am, but if weather is fine I will be there a bit earlier
Carl - what time are you planning to get to Conwy?
carlj
Dave,
Can't say for definite, but we leave Stoke at 7.15am, stop for about 40 mins at a service station (probably outside of Chester) then non-stop all the way - probably 10.30 arrival if recent trips are anything to judge by!
To avoid confusion, I'll be the Minolta owner with the Tamron 200-500mm, unlike my friend Rob, who'll be the Minolta owner with the Sigma 170-500mm
Oh, and I've got glasses, and a partner with a crutch and a pentax (not related :D)
Look forward to having a coffee with you mate!
And Blue, using a few thousand miles as an excuse. I don't know, people today.....

Carl
would you like to meet up as you get there, say 10:30 at the cafe?
Will give Leo a chance to get there as well, if he can make it
cheers

Weather's given as awful, we'll be there as we're committed (or should be ).
No problems there Dave - a cup of coffee to wake me up after two early starts will be needed!
hil26
Look forward to it

Pity it was time limited - quality rather than quantity though - really enjoyed meeting you all! Conwy is a lovely place, and deserves better weather than we got. Llanfairfechan saw a marked improvement - though as we were heading home. It's a good place for birding, though mainly at a distance. Egret showed well, and ended up stalking a curlew across a football field - called him Neville, as he was in the right back position!
Once again, Amber and I loved meeting you all - and though we've no North Wales birding trips before Autumn, are pretty much guaranteed a trip to Llandudno over next couple of months. Maybe all meet up again, possibly Victorian festival?
