Poppy FieldI saw these in a field near my home when I was driving back from work so nipped out tonight with the camera.

1st and third have a bit more going for them, 1st, think I would have liked the tall poppy on the thirds line, but all in all nice

thanks dave. bit tricky in that field as full of stinging nettles and i was wearing shorts! daren't go any further into the field for fear of being yelled at by an irate farmer like once before!

they're nice shots, but look a little 'muddy' - they could do with a bit of punch. might be as simple as just adjusting levels to darken the shadows, or an increase in contrast

I like the first and third too, and agree with both Dave and Jon. We don't get poppies like that over here, and these shots provided a nice touch of UK for me!

lol we do have hills in northamptonshire
went past the poppy field today and there's even more now.

picasa, yes they were RAW.

wonder if that has something to do with it then.. when i used capture one le, I used to get a funny colour cast
