am looking at the spyder with the printfix software included - but would love to know of experiences with it.
My monitor shows nice vibrant colours, but print outs are darker,
Printer is Canon I9100, monitor is gnr lcd screen, paper profiles used seem to make no difference, have tried both letting printer manage colours and letting photoshop manage them, printer does a better job but still not overly happy.
Any advice, anyone?

Can't remember which model it is but only some do monitor/printer calibration. I posted something the other day about this, i'll try find the thread.
thanks simon - think my monitor may at the cheap end of the range as using both adobe gamma and this online do not appear to give results I am looking for.

trying to say
monitor is cheap one, and may not calibrate properly
as
both the above programs ask for more adjustment than the monitor controls will give.

thanks, laymans terms always help with the slow workings grey matter.
