Jenny

Been playing with some of the shots I took when she last visited, as she is coming back in about a weeks time for a shoot in her Prom dress. Something to look forward to.

No, my sister came for the weekend and we managed to get Jenny to pose, it took ages to get her settled and she hates all the images taken!!!

Cheers Keith, let's hope I can do her justice.

Her mother paid £1300 for a make and photoshoot of herself at some gallery.

Images are flippin good btw, but £1300???

£1300 just takes the piss, no matter how good they are.

Shocked
glad she was pleased with the results after paying that amount of money
any of these makeover shots i've ever seen are kinda icky....all soft focus ...not my thing

that's how much studio shoots cost.

don't forget that it's not like studio shooters are shooting a constant stream of customers (and that wouldn't be the case no matter what they charged) and they have to put food on the table just like the rest of us!

when you pay a craftsman for their work, you're not just paying for the cost of the materials (which are large in this case when you factor in all of their lighting, cameras and the studio itself) you're paying for a craftman's ability to use those materials to give a guaranteed level of quality, every time.

Jon

totally agree with your sentiments above, but she was actually only in the studio half an hour, make up was 15 mins, she got 3 prints out of it and paid extra for a canvas - there is professional fees and there are rip offs.

But that said - if you are willing to pay the price, then the price is right.
