Hull reflection

Probably my favourite photograph.

I took this about 3 years ago in Cornwall. I was sitting on the edge of the harbour and was feeling very un-inspired & couldn't think of anything to shoot. Then I spotted a red-hulled fishing boat and noticed the sharp contrasting colours and lines against the water. This was the result.

I had wondered about your avatar from time to time. This is a beautiful shot. Lovely in its gentle simplicity. There's something to be said for just sitting, eh? Well spotted.

Well spotted, always thought your Aviator was part of a flag 'doh'.

contender for the abstract compy perhaps? abstract art pretty much means shape and form used in a non-representational way

note 1: and there was me thinking it was going to be a grimy picture of some reflection of hull the place!
note 2: me slaps venom.. it's avatar, not aviator Smile

strange you should say that ....

went to camera club last night and it was the results from an abstract competition - judge was a talented artist (paint not the liwuid kind).

Anyway quite a lot of the images entered were real life pictures with clean lines - this one would have been up there in winners circle - no wonder its your favourite its lovely

- winner was a picture of a step - made clean L shape with different shades of grey at top to bottom with shadow giving the contrast - can't show you the image as its not been posted yet. But it was good.
