I was trying to put some pictures together for a panorama but I wasn't really very succesfull. I was using photoshop 8.0.1 and it is working fine, but there are differences in the colours in the sky.
Which tools would you use to correct this and how would you do it, cause i have tried several things but not to satisfaction.
Tnx a lot for the help.
btw, the picture isn't good, but I was just using them to try the stitching.

I have same [problem in PS
Lots depends on the technique used to take photo
Best results I found where complete manual control, get focus right then make sure its in Manual for all pics in Pano, 50% overlap on images.
Serif Panorama Plus 1 is ok as well and its free, they now do a version that is a plug in to PS

Hi Ivo,
A sky like that is fairly forgiving, no complex clouds getting in the way,
with clouds you'd have to be a lot more careful and use cloning and/or
copying and pasting. I used the healing tool to get rid of most of the
difference, changing the sample area around the part I was trying to heal
in order to get a good range of the colour in the area. Lastly I lassoed and
feathered a similar area and pasted it over the top to get rid of any
lingering faults and erased the edges with a soft brush to get a good blend
and lastly used Gaussian blur to get rid of one last bit by lassing and
feathering the section and blurring to a radius of about 4.
I've put the full sized image up here if you want to inspect it.
That's an impressive bit of kit, Jon. It does a better job than Photoshop, boggle, boggle.

it's awesome - worth every penny imho
you wouldn't believe the mess some stitching apps made of this:
It's stitched from 117 individual exposures (the 'master' is fuppin huge)
There is a ludicrous amount of parallax distortion due to the closeness of the cab to the camera, and it was taken hand-held (couldn't really fit me and a tripod in there!)
Yes it's still messy, but PTGui made the best attempt by a very considerable margin :D

That is truly amazing! 117 individual exposures and hand held!? I need a rest just having read that! Well done.

thanks for the link - great program - looks like another software license to buy
Ivo
thank you all for the tips. I tried ptgui and it is very nice and easy to use. Good software. But I also like to know how to correct it myself, so I'm going to practice creators, cause now i know how to go to work. You've done an excellent job on the sky, amazing!!!!
Thank you guys, another photo-crisis has been solved :D

I work on exactly the basis you said, "I also like to know how to correct it
myself", rather than just relying on something doing it for me, because once
you've got that skill, it's yours forever and can be applied is all sorts of other ways.

Oh, and just by the by, Ivo, there is still some visual evidence where the hills
join and that can also be dealt with using the healing brush or clone brush,
possibly with some cutting and pasting as well, or lightening. Had it been my picture
I would have done that work, but I just wanted to get the picture back to you to
show it could be done. If you have any questions just shout, if I
have a clue I'll tell you, if I don't, I'll tell you that too. If you want a walkthrough
on anything, they don't take long, so just ask.
Ivo
thanks a lot creators, when someone shows you it gives much more motivation to give it a go, cause i now know it's possible.
I'll have a go at it this weekend. If the results are good, i'll show the results here :D

just ahd a better look at the original, there is quite a substantial join to the right of the tall central multistory block, if you look to the right of it, you will that the buildings lean towards each other.
Not sure if this is to do with not enough overlap on the images when taken or just the converging vertical problem on buildings.
