How much!!!!!!!!!!!!well went down my local Jessops shop this morning to have a look for a Macro Lens.
Sigma 105mm
Canon 100mm
Nearly feel over when he told me the price.
Sigma £400
Canon £470
Checked Warehouse Express out-
And Sigma £275 Canon £349 and they wonder why they are in the s***.
God it makes me nasty grrrrrrrrrr, if they had realistic prices they'd actually make some money.

when i was looking for my studio lights i called Jessops to see what they had and if they had any advice..
i spoke to the most useless, dumb idiot i have ever come across..
he didn't speak..it was more a series of irritating grunts...
useless...

No m8 it's a serious look. The sign in the window said 'Lens Price Crash' so I thought I'd go in and have a look. Never expected them to be cheaper than on-line but thought if they are close enough would consider buying (speak to a face and all that), but no where near.
Only 3 thing I have left on my shopping list now-
Canon 100 - 400 lens
Macro (either sigma 105 or Canon 100)
and a studio lighting kit This will probably work out the most expensive long term (add ons etc).
Lots of expense  so must keep the wife sweet

Only got to look at price of CF cards.
Jessops rants can go on forever, still don't know how they are still in business.

Yeh know what you mean, but some of the things they aren't to badly priced on, but others are just a joke and the best part is when you tell them they are too expensive and the reply is 'Well I can't see how they can do it at that price are you sure you got it right'?
Come on Jessops wake up and smell the coffee before it's to late.

Mike, why not take advantage of their price match - currently stating "camera and lens prices in this magazine" - and warehouseexpress are rather busy little advertisers! Get the mag, get the price and have the reassurance of a shop if it breaks!

Tried that m8 but apparently it's down to the individual store manager if he wants to price match or not and he didn't

Even when THEIR advert in largeprint states as much? I'd have rang their head office while in the shop and kicked off - albeit politely!

Yeh was tempted but thought well your loss.
Think they only price match if it's only afew quid difference not £100 plus (well seems that way)
