Having a play with force perspective.

Not a great picture, I couldn't find a decent setting, but what do you think? For anyone who doesn't know what force perspective is, the picture should tell a complete story with the foreground image relating to, and leading you on to, the background image. Edited to remove branding. Very Happy

I think it's great other than the t*sco advertising ;-) It certainly tells a story.

My apologies for the high street bully boy being on there.  Very Happy

Do your eyes go to the heat spray first and then get forced on to the the poor suffering me in the background? Although I find it easy to assess in others pics, I find it hard to assess my own. Though if I look at it fresh tomorrow I'll probably see straight away whether it works or not.

i went to the back first, but as a thought that may be cos I read from left to right

No Dave, with  force perspective you don't have a choice, your eye must be captured by the foreground image and then be forced to the back. I'll find an example.

This is a great example.

i'm the same as dave, my eyes look from the bg to the fg then back to the bg again

i guess the wineglass shot works better because it's slightly more prominent in the frame and is an interesting shape

Fair comment Jon, it's something I want to get out and about and try, it's quite an exercise in really looking for the shot.

You did come to mind.  Very Happy How's it going?

Thanks for the comment. I've had lots of practice with that pose and shuffling.

Yeah, weekend comp... Who has the worst back on the forum?  Very Happy

Keith

I think Jon has hit the nail on the head, if the can was placed more towards that third vertical line, maybe it would work a lot better, that's what worked for me on the wine shot.

I'd need to do a deal more work on the composition, I cropped it because it was crap, but you are right.
