Been meaning to ask this for a while. when I open or save in any program 'My Pictures' comes up with large icons with thumbnails, I use 'view menu' to select 'List' view, but is there a way to set 'List view' as a default because the large icons are really annoying?

Not too sure, but
go back to start, no open programs
open MY computer, view listing as list
then tools, folder options, view
and select apply to all folders
this might default the others, like I said not sure, but worth a try

Thanks Dave, no dice, I'm afraid. Windows Explorer and My Computer, lists coming out my armpits, PSP, Elements and so on, still the same. I even tried rebooting just cos it's Windows, and had to go again after my system decided to have a 'Windows has recovered from a serious error' warning. Gnnn! Anyway, thanks mate, cos I didn't know that little tip for explorer.
