I need to tidy some discs up so that they look presentable - labels do not do it for me - too much messing about..
Tried a lightscribe writer - waste of time and effort - 18 minutes of burning image to disc, could not use pc for anything else, then error message saying communication error, disc ejected - only part image on disc. Happened 3 times so took it back.
So looked at printers that can print direct to disc - great printer £79 cartridges £75!!!!!!!! Needed 5 at £15 each.
Anybody any ideas?

What sort of printer do you have?
If you have HP/Epson, then using "printable disks" with Matte finish works great, regular inks should work. I use a HP PhotoSmart D5160 (89GBPish)
Lightscribe is great, I use it at work, though it is a long process and you do have to make a cuppa or two.
Hope this helps,
Pete

Pete, thanks
current printer is an A3 printer (Canon i9100) which is great, but does not print on discs (unless there is a device that I don't know about).
So printers - am looking at most cost effective route, as to be honest the only reason I am looking is to tidy up some slideshow wedding videos I have done.
I really wasn't that impressed with the lightscribe writer I used, as I did not get a full image onto a disc, hence sending it back. After trying, and spoiling the front of 3 discs, I decided that it was not for me - took nearly an hour to make 3 coasters!!!! The slideshow burned to the disc ok though.
Looks like I will have to bite the bullet and get another printer, but the canon one that does what I want uses different inks to current printer, so make of new printer really doesn't matter any more as I will need to purchase ink anyway.
