Initial thought was 'wow, nice photoshopping' but the more I look at it, the more the lighting looks wrong; it's the houses on the lhs that give the game away to me for some reason

I agree it's not realism Jon, I was just messing and really had fun and was pleased with the result, but definitely photo-art.
That was about half an hour Dave, using the background removal technique that Blue put up, in fact it was because of that, I was playing. The trees aren't that good on the horizon, I really didn't do a very good job of them, but trees are incredibly hard so I'll be playing a lot over the next week or so.
