BenQ will this month launch two seven-million-pixel digital compact cameras onto the UK market in the shape of the BenQ T700 and X725.
Priced £175 the T700 features a 3in 'touch screen' boasting a resolution of 232,000 pixels. The screen allows users to enlarge specific areas of their images by 'simply tapping on the screen', claims BenQ.
Meanwhile, the X725 costs £165 and is one of the world's slimmest 7-million-pixel models, measuring 12.5mm in width.
The X725 sports a 2.5in monitor and includes a Pentax-branded 3x optical zoom, delivering the viewing angle equivalent of a 37.5-112.5mm zoom.
Both models are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and weigh 120g (without battery).
The X725 and T700 (pictured) are due to be available in shops to wards the end of June.
