B&W watch

I was not able to go out today due to some bad weather so I tried this what do you think?

sean

Hi Chris,

It's a nice clear shot but there's something missing. Not quite sure what - maybe it would have more impact if it was more 'contrasty'???

Dunno - what do the others think?
hil26

still trying to make my mind up - maybe not enough angle to the watch (strap going of corner to corner maybe, B&W as Sean suggests)
chris82

Thats a good point Ill give that a go.
sean

OK - I think I know what it is... 2 things actually.

The 1st one is the angle of the wood grain vs the angle of the watch. It seems to niggle me.

The 2nd thing is the 'Pulse' label on the watch face. If it was cloned out/removed I think the photograph would be more appealing...

Again, this is purely personal.

...........over to the others again!

I think it would be hard to clone the pulse txt out as the watch face has a paticular design on it which would be messed up if cloned!?
sean

Just had a quick stab at it. I also cropped it and increased the constract as well as making it black and white. (Where's Creators when you need him?)

I do like this sorts of picture though...I forgot to say nice photograph by the way!

Sean, nice chop, image has
been improved

depends on what you're trying to achieve. i liked the soft tones of the original pic

I like the shot a lot, but I agree there seems to be something missing. I like the Pulse logo, but think the contrast adjustment helped a lot. More than anything else I think what's missing is a touch of contrast, like... a cherry? Know what I mean? Sort of like this. Nice chop Sean, that must have been a bugger with that pattern to deal with.

Hi chris, are you using CS2, if so right click on the spot healing brush and there is a patch tool, use that to preserve the pattern on the watch face and get rid of the pulsar thingy, also useful in all sorts of other situations, just needs some practice.
chris82

Thanks I will try that,BTW nice edit Sean the contrast does help it a lot I think but I still like the origional aswell.Ill give that patch tool trik a go aswell simon,Cheers.
