Im into motorsport and its what really got me into taking photo's. So seeing as we have a sports section on this forum ;) i thought i'd share a couple with you.
I like this image, its not perfect but i think ive got the moment. Always a bit hard to get things spot on when you hear a screech behind you whilst trying to get another photo in front!
Ive wanted to get one of these for ages. Was quite cramped and also a fair way away from the ideal sport to take this. Anyway, stood there, and listened...then hit the shutter. This is the end result.
Let me know what you think of them. And of course there are more on my site.
Like the shots, but feel a little too much grass - tighter crop maybe - whats the blur in the second shot, another Megane?
Some nice meganes in your gallery by the way.

Hi richard,
Like you i love motorsport (touring cars especially)
Nice shots, really like the second one. Great blur effect as they cross the line. Did you manage to get it first time?
They move so quick people don't realise and to be able to keep with them and get a good sharp picture takes some practice. Nice website by the way.
Hope to see some more of your work soon

The blurred image was taken at Thruxton BTCC this year. It was one of the Forumla Renault cars.
That was my third attempt....was well chuffed myself with that one. Just need to listen for them, then hit the shutter. not exactly scientific, but once you get used to the sound you can guage where they are before they come into the viewfinder(and go straight out of it again lol)
Plenty more images on my site, so have a look around, rate and leave comments on them if you wish. My favourite time so far has been at the nurburgring or possibly Brands last year for the BTCC. Oh and at Snetterton at the beginning of last year when Matt Neal covered me in champagne.
I know ive banged on about it a bit, but the 100-400 has really helped me get the images you see on the 2006 list.
Now, why am i here at work when ive got my camera at home.....

Its a good question but to get equipement like the 100 - 400 then work is the only way to earn the necessary. or rob a bank. Lol
