If you realy like horror and sci fi, have you all see event horizon, i very rarely get really scared by films, just a bit jumpy, this was a change of underpants moment!!

The Rock, Bad Boys, braveheart, but sad as it seems I am a huge fan of cartoons, toy story, shrek, etc.
Shawshank and the green mile would have to be in my top five though.

hil26 hit the nail on the head for me - "anything that gets me off the planet" Got to love a bit of sci fi escapism. Be it Star Wars (the original ones, not the cack new ones), Alien, Forbidden Planet (really old film)

Then there's the comedy - Pink Panther! Weird Science (Nice one Adam!)

There's loads I could mention!

Has anyone here seen Eraserhead(David Lynch)?? It is quite strange but I think I may just like it. What are the strangest movies any of you have seen?

I'm a huge horror movie fan myself. Just can't seem to find any that scare me anymore. Love comedies as well.

Must Love Dogs
Something About Mary
All the animated ones listed above...Shrek, Toy Story, Bug's Life, lol
Ummmm...of course the 80's ones...St Elmo's Fire, Breakfast Club

I'll be here all night listing movies, lol

Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Once Upon a Time in America
Scent of a Woman

I don't think anyone has only one favourite film. I could add several ti this list.

Just watched 300 the movie. Have to say after all the hype I thought it was a bit of a let down to be honest. The special effects are nothing to right home about, the story lines is weak.

But don't let that stop you watching it Very Happy

Love Leon, and Delicatessen. Simply adore Grave of the Fireflies and Spirited Away.

Fave though, the quirky Amelie.

Among my favourites are:

The Untouchables (Sean Connery & Kevin Costner one)
Collateral (Tom Cruise)
Man on Fire (Denzel Washington)
Open Range (Kevin Costner) Great photography and brilliant last half hour
Four Weddings and a Funeral (Hugh Grant always makes me laugh)
Notting Hill for the same reason
Heat (de Niro and Al Pacino) bank robbery escape
Ronin (De Niro again) great car chase

cheers
derek

Agreed Very Happy
Ranks up there with the original The Italian Job with Michael Caine and Noel Coward, Bullitt with Steve McQueen and The French Connection with Gene Hackman.

All world class car chases!

Well my 2 week holiday came to an end yesterday Sad but while off I did manage to see the new Harry Potter Film (order of the Phoenix) and also Transformers.

For me this is not the best of the 5 Harry Potter films but if your a fan of the books then it's more than watchable. Transformers on the other hand for me was great, the special effects were brilliant story line is a bit weak but then they normally are on this type of film.

I'd recommend people see both films but especially the Transformers one.

Mike
