For me its got to be soft rock, I'm a really big fan of Bob Jovi, Guns n Roses basically most of the 80's rock bands.

What about you, what gets you moving?

gonna be different, really in to my Trance, happy hardcore and chillout music, Classic euphoria is awesome. Also really loving all the acoustic music around at the moment. lilly allen, katie melua.
Massive fan of alison krauss, favourite song at the moment would have to be Pretty Green Eyes, by ultrabeat. melodic with a wicked base line.

My tastes range from classical to proper heavy stuff, and pretty much everything in between Smile top favourite is hard rock/heavy metal but it does all depend on the mood I'm in.

One day I could be listening to Machine Head, the next Beethoven, the next Miles Davis

Bands I'm listening to a lot at this point in time : Feeder, Foo Fighters & RHCP

Rock and roll and folk, blues with other stuff in the cracks. Grateful Dead, Queen, Pink Floyd, Mark Knoffler (whose 'Shangri La' album I rate as the best album ever), Beatles, J J Cale, Ralf McTell, Vin Garbutt, Arlo Guthrie, John Martyn, Streets, and I rather like James Blunt. Not exhaustive but you get my drift.

Accoustic Chris?

Well obviously listening to the wrong country!! This is one of my favourite artist's, she's amazing, really mellow. I do agree that some is depressing, but alot of it is really upbeat and funky.

Clicky

Simon.

Being in my fifties, I have a wide range of musical taste, love Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Aerosmith but also The Stones a bit of Bowie, Enya and Mozart.
Dislike rap etc.

Original Punk for me, rather than the mutated rock these days. Sex Pistols, UK Subs, Undertones, Exploited, Stiff Little Fingers fill my mp3 player!

Mainly Rock, and if you want to go into the massive amounts of sub-genres that are appearing everywhere then Emo, Screamo, Indie, Alternative, Post-Hardcore, Punk, Punk-Rock, through to some classical and acoustic stuff.

To go right the way into specific bands then lately I've been listening mostly to -

My Chemical Romance
Leathermouth
Funeral for a Friend
Seasick Steve
Reuben
The Delta Fiasco
Explosions in the Sky
