Hi

Right ive now sorted my spare room out which im wanting to turn into a bit of a studio, Ive still got to get all the kit yet but am going to do it slowly. but first im going to decorate the room and was wondering what you think the best colour would be to paint all the walls? i know i will need backdrops for the rear wall but does it make any difference what colour the other walls should be?

Whatever colour you place on wall will to some effect be reflected on a white background of the subject - keep it all light, is what I have done.

I would agree with Dave, light colour and matt emulsion not silk.Best on smooth walls and not embossed paper (which is what I've got and it's not good)  You don't want reflections bouncing off the walls.

Be interested to see photos when its completed - I need to decorate my own room soon so all ideas welcome.

I'd definitely choose white and matt so as not to get reflections. Good luck with the project

well i have started and probably half way through, But my god im never painting white walls again, What a nightmare, Also just run out of paint, so will shortly be going to get some more so that i can finish off the walls today and then tomorrow can then do the wood work before i go out to family for a few beers.

It is coming along well though, looking forward to do my first studio shoot, should be good fun.
