I like the look of this lens. I currently have a Sigma 70-300mm, a Canon 28-135mm and the Canon 18-55mm. I'm hoping to avoid having to carry them around and wondered if this lens would meet my needs. It's my birthday soon so I feel a treat coming on! lol

Derek, know little about that particular lens, but the Sony badged version has been improved with different coatings, improved AF. Have a look at www.alphamountworld.com - quite a few Sony owners have one or the other, and can help better than I....

And like its suggested in the text - it'll save you lugging all your other lenses about with you.

Go for it!  Mrs. D will treat you  Laughing

Thanks for replies. Its still sounding good and those reviews were all positive.  It would be good for taking out when walking instead of carrying 3 lenses around. Smile
