It's a lovely bridge but it's surrounded by so much clutter that I decided to focus on the shape of the main arch which looked fab in the afternoon sun with an almost mediterranean blue sky behind

Great shots Jon..... I was in County Durham for over 5 years before I came to Canada, and never took a single shot of the bridge, in all my times up in the toon! _________________ Bring on the snow, for I feel the need to ride.....

I lived in Newcastle for 21years, never thought to photograph 'The Toon', when I get back I never seem to have time ;(
