Well I suppose this is travel, even if only 19 miles from me, I was kinda struggling to decide where to put them. I am going through a real desert period, I'm not happy with the picture quality of my D80, it is nowhere as user friendly to use as the D70, I really regret buying the thing and I don't feel there is any point doing anything about it unless I go for the DX2 which I can't afford at the moment. So whinge over, I needed to just go out and take pictures, and this is where the car stopped.

I know what you mean mate I'm taking loads at the moment but binning most, just can't seem to get what I want.
Maybe you expectations of the D80 were to high or your just now more critical of your work.

The biggest problem I have is finding my own style which seems impossible because everything I do I'm either not happy with or has been done to death.

My cousins asked me to do her wedding next October, I have to say at first I was reluctant but it was me or she was going to rely on pictures from family and friends, so thought why not. It's given me a new focus something to work to so expect loads of portrait shots from me over the next months Smile.

Maybe you need a new focus / direction to get those creative juices flowing again, just an idea.

Mike

Sorry to hear about you not being happy with the D80, can't see why it does not take as good an image as the D70.

Think a lot of folk are in the same desert as you at the minute, what it needs is another meeting which is what we promised ourselves to do after the summer hols.

Cheers for that Mike, I don't know about my expectations of the D80, just not sure.

My photographic expectations have certainly gone up, it's all the forums fault, so ultimately yours. It's all your fault! Laughing

Really though, I probably need to do a course to get me out of my box, get with the experts and get some inspiration from some live time with them. New focus/direction, yeah.

Good decision to do the wedding mate, it's certainly a very intense and rewarding experience.

It's probably me Dave.

Now a meet is a great idea, long overdue. Just be great to see y'all again apart from anything else. And some new faces????

Have a look at forthcoming events, Dave can make the last Friday and that's no problem for me either I think, though I have to check. 28th September Winner Announcement and Celebratory Display.
