Had an hour or two at Llangollen this evening, had some fun chasing these down the valley
and the last one, he just missed the road, busy dual carriageway that I could not get to the other side of to get him landing - boy it all happens so fasst - always thought ballooning was slow!!!

Marvelous. The first one looks like you're up in a balloon with them.
I'm bummed. I just found out this morning that there is a rare 2-day balloon event 20 minutes from my house today and tomorrow.
But ... I'm stuck here in Lake Placid
OK - maybe stuck in Lake Placid isn't such a bad thing But why can't I have my cake and eat it too? _________________ see my photography at john.seelbinder.org
Cheers, would have been great to get in one, must find out how one gets invited.
What was "funny" was that I arrived at the festival site with about 20 minutes before the flight was to start. paid my £2 tp park, and £6 to get in - no reduced rates, it was £6 whether or not you were all day, or just the last 2 hours!!!!
Got in, then flippin well realised I would be too close to the balloons. Legged it back up the hill to my car which is when they started flying. Lesson to be learnt - llangollen is a small venue with a lot of people in attendance, get there early and relax, buy a very wide lens - or just go late and do not go in. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------

So you can forget taking the 'Bigma' then Dave?
Went up in a Balloon a good many moons ago and really enjoyed shame I wasn't into photography back then. _________________
I live in Balloon land so I am not speaking to Dave any more. If someone could pass that on to him, I'd be grateful.
These are amazing shots Dave, I am pushed to decide which is my favourite. I think No, 1 is just incredible, but then I scoll down and so is No 3, it looks as if it shouldn't be, but it is amazing. No 2 is good, but not unusual, No 4 with that unusual angle really works. Well done mate! _________________
For me there is no question- it's #2 all the way. Look at that lighting!!! Gorgeous! _________________ Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. - Albert Gyorgyi
are numbers 2 and 5 edited to make the colours stand out or is that a filter? _________________ A good photograph is knowing where to stand. - Ansel Adams
