I've just ordered some posters from Snapfish to see how they come out with a view to mounting an exhibition. My style is pretty unique and maybe it's time for some self promotion. What do you think?
These are the pictures I ordered and they are due to arrive shortly, so I'll have to let you know how they look.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Dave, I really feel I need to get more pro-active about what I do, and my area has places that I could certainly do that in. _________________
they are excellent shots. My favourite is the first one. I like the pose of the model and also the way the detailed trousers contrast with the black top.
They are going to look absolutely amazing in an exhibtion. _________________ forget all the photography rules! experiment
Great processing on them shots Keith (i'm super jealous btw), but I think you could benefit with broadening your subject matter.
Whilst Leah is very easy on the eyes, and you are going to struggle to find anybody complaining about her look, i feel you will promote yourself further with a 'grittyer' (is that a word?) subject.
Not sure if that really makes sense. I could be waaaaaaaay off the mark here (its been known!!), and you might be aiming for something different than i have perceived - if so, apologies! _________________ Bring on the snow, for I feel the need to ride.....
I agree and the exhibition will not be just Leah, putting up samples of Leah is easy just because I have so many shots of her, but I will have to trawl through all my photographs to put together this exhibition. Even so, I still need to get more women in the studio to get a broader portfolio. The good news being I have a paid shoot coming up on the 17 May. Yai.
I don't have a venue yet Dave, but I doubt it will be a ticket event, the venues here are walk in. I may not even get a venue till next year the way they get booked. This is all preparation, getting the prints done was to see if they would be suitable. They are, now I look for a venue.
I also need to look at how to mount the prints, so any ideas that wont cost me a fortune would be most welcome. _________________
Just so we're all clear about this. I don't know what I am doing. I spent my life as a Youth Worker till I lost the plot and spent ten years, in almost complete seclusion, as good as dead, and without my art work I probably would have been. Photography was the beginning of me reinventing myself and re-emerging from the primaeval ooze. I am having to learn to live again, and this is a valuable next step, but I have no idea what I am doing or how to do it, no training or expertise in this area.
It still requires a monumental effort to leave the house and even then it is never for long. Making it to the group get together in the Peak District was a major and serious undertaking for me, though wonderful meeting up.
Building the studio was a step towards achieving a new life, having my first strangers in the house for a booking is a huge deal. This is all part of my brave new world, but I really am clueless. _________________
Flickr is useful because you get the figures for the number of viewings for each picture, which as straw polls go is pretty damned good. I guess these are in then.

Keith - so glad that you made the effort to emerge from that swamp. Your skill with image editing, and the tutorials have made me look at editing more closely (still trying to get it right in camera, but am a firm believer that the software is there to help (much the same way that processing in a darkroom helped in the days of film).
I am 100% certain that your exhibition will be a great success, and am also sure that you will not be short of helpers - I can think of 3 maybe 4 of your subjects (all female) that are bound to be there.
Best of luck with it. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
Looking through my collections I've discovered that I've learnt a bit more over time and therefore am going to have to redo many, if not all, of the images I choose.
You do have a unique style and in my opinion should go for it as people will love it as we do.
Just something for you to think about have you thought about approaching an Air soft / BB gun magazine with regards to the pictures with guns? I think they'd also be interested in your work. _________________
I'm in the process of contacting the company and I'll be getting on to the mags as well, I've already asked Jon, but more opinions would be valuable, what price to offer pictures for?
